“Building a future for Gumbi”

The Gumbi education fund has built large new classroom blocks at several primary schools and two village libraries. It also builds accommodation for teachers and equips schools with solar lights and school materials.

So far the fund has built and equipped two small libraries which are used by teachers and pupils for meetings, classes in school holidays and offices for teachers. The communities decide what they want and make the bricks and fittings themselves. They are proving to be well used adaptable public spaces .The fund hopes to build small libraries in all neighbouring villages and to supply them with books.
